Bredon Jones was a multi-talented musician, programmer, connector, creative, and genuinely kind and thoughtful human. He lent his musical talents to many St. Louis bands and his technical talents to multiple businesses he was involved with.
He was one of Nebula’s earliest members – setting up an office for his web development company Efeqdev (which later became Giant Hat) in 2012. He quickly became a friend to many and as a natural problem solver, he also became a sounding board for people wanting help with things ranging from coding and business strategy to music and design.
Shortly after joining Nebula, Bredon designed and built a custom web-based system to track incoming packages and notify members when something arrives. Over ten years later, the system he built is still in use. Even as he battled cancer these past few years, he was still making updates to it.
He was generous with his time and served in a volunteer capacity as Treasurer of the Cherokee Station Business Association in 2013 and 2014. He was also remarkably consistent both in his optimistic, caring, and humble demeanor as well as his trademark blue button down shirt.
His legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of the many people he connected and collaborated with. Memorial ceremony details are available on Bredon in Space.
